Every day is a great day to be a Racer, but each year around Valentine鈥檚 Day, our beloved Shoe Tree tradition makes us feel extra giddy. Giddy UP, of course! Share your love with those most important in your life, while also spreading the love for 猫咪社区app State, each February! Another way you can show your alma mater the love is by joining the 猫咪社区app State University Alumni Association as an Annual or Lifetime member! Becoming a member of the MSUAA is just one of many ways you can give back, pay it forward and help support Racer traditions for the next generation.
The Shoe Tree
When two Racers fall in love, it's a tradition to nail their shoes to a tree in the Quad. While its origins have been disputed over the years, it is safe to say the Shoe Tree has been a tradition unique to 猫咪社区app State for more than a half-century. A few Racers have even returned to campus to hang their children's shoes on the tree. While there have been a couple of different Shoe Trees over the years, this beloved tradition has been able to stand the test of time.
