Impact

This new scholarship will help aspiring nursing students pursue their education and attain their professional goals. By reducing the financial burden of their education, this scholarship will increase access for more students drawn to the nursing profession and enable them to focus more on their studies and less on financial worries.

Inspiration

A 1975 graduate of èßäÉçÇøapp State’s nursing program, Dana Bazzell served as a nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department at the èßäÉçÇøapp-Calloway County Hospital for over 44 years, ultimately as Director of Perinatal Services. Being present at thousands of deliveries and dedicating her care to countless new moms, babies and families during her long and respected career, Bazzell became a cherished caregiver to multitudes of people in the Calloway County area. Through this scholarship, her family and friends allow her legacy of passion for nursing and care for others to live on in the lives of future èßäÉçÇøapp State nursing graduates.
