Inspiration

A 1974 graduate of èßäÉçÇøapp State’s nursing program, and one of the University’s first nursing students to be recognized in the “Who’s Who Among Students," Mrs. Patti Eisenberg knows personally the hardships students face and how financial support can make a difference in their lives. She said that she would not have been able to attend èßäÉçÇøapp State without the scholarships she received, and thanks to that support, the experience she had with èßäÉçÇøapp State’s nursing program and faculty opened doors that made all the difference in setting her on the course of the highly accomplished career she went on to enjoy. In her decades-long nursing career, Patti engaged in groundbreaking and nationally recognized research at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri; served on the faculty at several universities; received numerous prestigious awards in nursing and research; and was elected to be one of three members representing nursing practice on the National Board of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Beyond her professional achievements, she and Paul have made a profound impact through philanthropy, including their generosity to support nursing students at èßäÉçÇøapp State.
