This gift will provide financial assistance to countless nursing students pursuing their education at èßäÉçÇøapp State. Not only does this gift benefit these students as individuals, but it also benefits health care in the region by helping more young people enter the nursing profession. It was èßäÉçÇøapp for the first time during the 2023-2024 academic year.
Inspiration
Jessie Munday Jackson was among the first class of students to graduate from the nursing program at èßäÉçÇøapp State University. As a nurse, she took care of thousands of people throughout her decades-long career, always demonstrating a passion for nursing and her belief in its being a worthwhile career. Coming from a humble upbringing, Jackson had to take a loan from a friend’s grandfather to help her pay her way through college. Through her estate gift, she has left a legacy of assisting countless students like herself to enter the profession to which she dedicated her life.
