Donors

United Systems & Software, Inc. (USS), led by CEO and èßäÉçÇøapp State alumnus Scott Waldrop (’88)

Gift

Establishment of the United Systems & Software Distinguished Faculty Fellowship and funding to support the United Systems and Software Project Suite in the Bauernfeind College of Business

Impact

USS created the USS Professor Fellowship in 2020 to benefit the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) and enhance the University’s ability to recruit and retain outstanding faculty for this department. In 2022, the USS Project Suite was established to give students real-world work experiences to better prepare them for life after college.

Inspiration

For years, USS CEO Scott Waldrop has been instrumental in supporting students in the Bauernfeind College of Business, such as by providing software project development opportunities and internships to enhance students’ classroom learning. This recent gift takes that legacy to a new level by channeling that support into a tangible, brick-and-mortar space on campus that facilitates hands-on learning and makes it an integral part of the CSIS program.
